Welcome to my personal website! It stands in lieu of a memoir and will offer you insights into the key events of my life. Many changes have taken place in the world in my lifetime. Through my work, I was fortunate enough to be at close hand when some of them happened. I aim now to share what I witnessed with you. What follows is a mix of the personal and the public, the unique and the general, as I lay out the events and contexts that have shaped me and have also defined the world as we know it in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
